Bhopal: Slain social activist Shehla
Masood had complained to the Madhya Pradesh Chief Vigilance Commissioner
against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and top state government
officials accusing them of misusing state funds.
A letter written by Shehla and dated August 1, 2011, just two
weeks before she was killed in Bhopal, was recovered from her personal
documents by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) which is probing
the case.
CNN-IBN has accessed the letter in which Shehla complained against alleged large scale misutilisation of state funds by the state hospitality department in connivance with higher officers and politicians of the state.
Shehla's complaint letter quotes RTI documents that state funds were used to entertain personal guests of state officials. The letter also states Rs 5 lakh was spent by the Madhya Pradesh government for a personal visit of senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader LK Advani to Panchmarhi.
The state plane was reportedly used for the to and fro journey of Advani from New Delhi to Bhopal and the state helicopter was provided for the journey from Bhopal to Panchmarhi and back.

Several High Court judges were also hosted by the Madhya Pradesh government on their private visits.
Among those who were hosted on their private visits were also several High Court judges.
